A Perfect Match for Our Family

Our family—my husband, our two young children, and I—has had two incredible experiences with BTG.

Our first interaction came after we adopted a greyhound from another agency. Unfortunately, the dog wasn’t suitable for young children, and we struggled to get support over the weekend. Desperate for help, I reached out to Angela at BTG. She was amazing—a true lifesaver—and we will always be grateful for her kindness and guidance!

The second time was when we adopted our beautiful greyhound, Bobby, through BTG. After our previous experience, we had some worries, but Angela took the time to understand our family dynamic and find the perfect match. One day, she called to say she had a greyhound that might be just right for us. We arranged a home visit with Bobby’s foster carer, and the moment we saw how calm he was around our kids, our worries melted away.

We started with a four-week trial adoption, which went perfectly. Bobby quickly became a beloved part of our family. He’s a lovable goofball who loves running around with the kids and flopping down wherever he pleases!

We are so thankful for the incredible support from Angela and the volunteers at BTG. Because of them, Bobby found his forever home with us. We always recommend BTG to anyone looking to adopt a greyhound—we’ve already shared our experience with many friends, coworkers, and family members!
